Telescopes

GSO RC 12″ f/8

Bought in October 2011, this is my main imaging instrument. It is mounted on my ASA DDM85X in the dome. Fitted on it is a Moonlite Focuser (2,5″) with stepper motor.

BORG 77ED

Bought in 2007, I use it mainly for widefield visual observations. Right now, it is mounted atop my GSO RC.

I got this direct drive mount from Astrosysteme Austria in October 2011, after a waiting time of about 3 months. Man, this is a beast! A whopping total of 100kg of stuff came, and I had to lift it on my concrete pier. After the first tests, it is impressive how precise and smooth the movement is.
